Bill Mackey, who grew up in Baxter County at Cotter, entered the funeral service profession in 1970 in Mountain Home (McClure Funeral Service). Bill is a 1972 graduate of the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science. He is a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Active in fraternal organizations, Bill is a member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite Temple, and Sahara Shrine Temple. He is also active in several veterans organizations and enjoys a life membership in Ozark VFW Post 3246. He belongs to Alley White American Legion, and the 40/8 Voiture. He is a member of the Twin Lakes Golf Club. He enjoys golfing, bowling and boating. Bill and his wife, Brenda (Schuler), are parents of two sons Marcus and Matthew (both of whom are currently serving in the U.S. Army) and a daughter, Shelley Martin Lumpkin who is a teacher at Springdale High School, and they have eight grandchildren.
