Billy was a wonderful, happy person and it was enjoyable to spend time with him and be around him. It seems like he always had a smile for everyone. We enjoyed our lunches together and listening to stories that he'd share. We felt comfortable with him as if we'd known him for years. We'll miss knowing that he's here nearby.

As a little boy growing up in the late '60s/early '70s, I will never forget Uncle Bill's return from SE Asia, thin as a rail, standing in our doorway with a big smile on his face, wearing his Class B uniform. He was always bigger than life and had great stories! He was an inspiration for me, may Uncle Bill rest in peace.
