Private family memorial services for Dorothy Arminda Floyd of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be at a later date.

Dorothy died Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Baxter Regional Medical Center, at the age of 82. She was born March 20, 1928 in Trion, Georgia, the daughter of Louis and Ollie Lena Cordle Floyd. She married Robert Floyd on May 5, 1951 at Fayetteville, North Carolina and was the co-owner and operator of Dairy Queen. Dorothy lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 1973 moving from West Plains, Missouri. She was a member of the Baxter Regional Medical Center Auxiliary. She enjoyed flowers, cooking, caring for her family and friends and was an avid reader. She was a most gracious lady and was loved by many.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Robert; 2 sons, Kenneth (Anna) Floyd of Cotter, AR, James (Monna) Floyd of Mountain Home, AR; grandchildren, Holly, April, Sara, Matthew, Amber and Heath; great-grandchild, Phoebe; sister-in-law, Dorothy; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 sisters, 1 brother and 1 grandson.

Memorials may be made to the Mountain Home Christian Clinic.
