Memorial Services for Richard Russell "Dick" Hulan of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 7:30 pm Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Community of Christ, with Elder Betty J. Morris officiating.
Dick died Sunday, July 17, 2011 at Mountain Home, at the age of 87. He was born August 23, 1923 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Russell and Lenora Riegel Hulan. Dick was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He married Lynette DeCrow on July 27, 1947 at Las Vegas, Nevada and worked as a truck driver for Quality Beer Distributors for 26 years. Dick lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 1995 moving from Doniphan, Missouri. He was donation coordinator for Community of Christ for the Mountain Home Food Basket and loved being on the lake.
Dick is survived by 1 son, Chris Hulan of Gamaliel, AR; 3 granddaughters, Julie (Frank) Vielbaum of San Diego, CA, Nicole (Cory) Farley of Baton Rouge, LA and Sarah Hulan of Popular Bluff, MO; 3 grandsons, Christopher (Sherry) Hulan of Popular Bluff, MO, Devin Hulan of AL and Daniel Hulan of St. Roberts, MO, 5 great-grandchildren, 2 daughters-in-law, Dona Hulan and Judi Callegan, and special friend, Norma Jean Madsen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, Dale Hulan, sister, JoAnn and 2 grandchildren, Dayna and Adam Hulan.
