Life Legacy
A gathering of friends and family to celebrate the life of Vickey Darlene Coleman Flow, 57, will be Saturday September 17, 2011 from 12 to 4 PM at the Arkansas State Park Pavilion located on the hill above the Bull Shoals Dam. The family requests you bring a picture of Vickey (if you have one) to be placed on the memory board. Vickey passed away at home September 8, 2011.
Vickey was born February 16, 1954 at Huntingdon, TN. She was the first female brakeman hired by the Southern Missouri Pacific Railroad. She married Jim Flow on October 29, 1982 at Lakeview, AR. Jim married Vickey for her unique love of the outdoors. As well as helping Jim with his scuba diving classes she loved floating the Buffalo River, camping, water skiing, and 4-wheeling. She overcame every challenge handed her with pride even surviving ovarian cancer. She was a long time employee of Gaston’s White River Resort, first as a grounds maintenance supervisor and later as a bookkeeper. Her most rewarding job was raising her two children and being with her grandson Mikhael James.
Vickey is survived by husband, Jim; three sons, James Eric of Lakeview, AR, Joshua James (Heather) of St. Louis, Mo and Nicholas John; Parents Eric Edward and Cuanita Bergman of Lakeview, AR; sister, Susan (Joe) Terminella of Fayetteville, AR and brother, Eric Allen Bergman of Lakeview, AR.
