Funeral services for Carl Wayne Hurst of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be private.
Carl passed away April 26, 2012, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 76. He was born March 7, 1936, in Flippin, Arkansas, the son of Pete and Idella Woods Hurst. He married Patricia Brunner on August 6, 1968 at Texarkana, Texas and was a general manager for several lumber retailers. Carl was a U.S. Marine Corps peacetime veteran. He gradutated from the university of Arkansas in 1964 with a bachelor's degree in business management and sports management. Carl lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 1989 moving from Harrison, Arkansas.
Carl is survived by his wife, Patricia Hurst, of Mountain Home, AR; one son, Chad Hurst of Mountain Home, AR; two brothers, Keith (Polly) Hurst of Flippin, AR, Hal (Barbara) Hurst of Flippin, AR; two sisters, Debbie Whitson of Mountain Home, AR; and Della Sue (Ronnie) Francis of Springfield, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Burial will be in Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House.
