Life Legacy
A Funeral Service for Wayne Andrew Pickett of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 5, 2012, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
Wayne passed away May 2, 2012, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 74. He was born August 22, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Rudolph and Elsa Becker Pickett. He married Diane Alice Opsahl on May 25, 1961, at Oak Park, IL, and worked as an Elevator Installer for Otis and Montgomery Elevator Companies. Wayne was a U.S. Army veteran. Wayne lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 1973 moving from Niles, Illinois. He retired from First National Bank in Mountain Home. He was an avid bass fisherman and enjoyed golf.
Wayne is survived by his daughter, Sharon (Wesley) Harris of Gainesville, MO; son, Daniel (Myrna) Pickett of Cedarcreek, MO; seven grandchildren, David and Crystal Picket, Desiree and Rick Williams, and Randall, Linda and Jack Harris.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and three brothers.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
