Funeral services for Janice Kay Baker of Mountain Home will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 3, 2009 at the Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Wayne Hurst, officiating.
Visitation will be 5:00 - 8:00 P.M., Sunday, August 2, 2009 at the Kirby & Family Funeral Home.
Janice died Thursday, July 30, 2009, in Mountain Home at the age of 56. She was born Thursday, October 23, 1952 in Franklin, Pennsylvania, daughter of Edward Hood and Helen (Vogan) Hood. She worked as a nurse and caregiver, most recently at Baxter Retirement Village, where she was loved by both staff and residents . Janice lived in Mountain Home since 1990, moving from Franklin, Pennsylvania. She was a loving and caring person, a dedicated caregiver, who took great joy in her family.
Janice Baker is survived by her daughters; Lisa Dunham of Transfer,Pennsylvania, Kimberly Ivy of Branson, Missouri; her Mother, Helen Miller of Hollister, Missouri, Brothers, Michael Miller of Palmdale, California and Craig Miller of Galveston, Texas, Sisters, Joyce Clemenson of Hollister, Missouri, Lynn Willett of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Carol Southwick of Tucson, Arizona, and Mary Lou Custodio of Palmdale, California; Grandsons Brandon Rodenbaugh of Erie, Pennsylvania and Anthony Ivy of Branson, Missouri; Granddaughters, Lexi Treadwell of Branson, Missouri, Sarah Barth and Linsey Dunham, both of Transfer, Pennsylvania; Great-Granddaughter, Mia Barth of Transfer, Pennsylvania; and several Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Hood.
