Mark Dennis Mucha

Mark Dennis Mucha was born December 2, 1974, to the late Dennis Mucha and Carolyn Jennings. Mark was an amazing man. Despite physical disabilities, Mark had a green thumb and loved to share his landscaping talents within the community. He was a music lover, often introducing young minds to the classics, in order to keep “good music alive”. He enjoyed working with the community's youth and was striving to be someone they could look up to.
Mark had a difficult past, but in recent years was living the life he felt God had led him to through those trials. He had discovered a sense of hope and purpose for his future. Mark served his community wholeheartedly at several nonprofit outreach missions. His absence has left a strain on each organization. Mark volunteered regularly for Mountain Home Christian Clinic, 411 Street Angels, and First United Methodist Church Wednesday Meals and Wesley Kitchen . He departed this life on May 20, 2023.
Mark is survived by his lifelong friend, Jeff Simpson of Mountain Home, Jeff’s daughter, Holly, and a host of friends who became family from the organizations where he volunteered. Mark does have distant relatives in Illinois and Michigan.
The Mountain Home Christian Clinic, 421 W. Wade, will host a celebration of life for Mark, where he was a friend and volunteer. The celebration will be on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at 4:00 pm. In keeping with who Mark was, a community meal will be provided followed by live music. This celebration is open to the public.
A funeral service will follow on June 29, 2023 at First United Methodist Church in Mountain Home at 3:00 pm.
Donations are being accepted in Mark's honor to go towards a homeless initiative to continue the work Mark was involved in. You may contact the Christian Clinic for more information.
