William R Clements, Sr. of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away April 10, 2021, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 90. He was born January 8, 1931, in Hinsdale, Illinois, the son of Thomas and Maurine Byers Clements. William was a proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. He married Barbara May Ball on March 31, 1951, in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and worked as an engineer for McDonnell Douglas aircraft manufacturing. William lived in Mountain Home since moving from California in 1968. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed cars, watching YouTube, thrift shopping, treasure hunting with a metal detector and he loved his pets.
William is survived by his son, William R (Annette) Clements, Jr. of Lakeview, AR; daughter, Patti A (Mike) Gregory of Yellville, AR; three grandsons, Britt (Marte Herron) Clements, Tyler (Kelsey) Gregory, and Cody Gregory; and a great-granddaughter, Sailor Gregory.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Thomas J Clements; and sister, Mary Long.
Visitation will be Friday, April 16, 2021, from 9:00 am until 10:00 am, at Kirby & Family Funeral & Cremation Services. A Celebration of Life will be 10:00 am, Friday, April 16, 2021, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Keith Dodson officiating. Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Marine Corps and the Alley-White American Legion Post #52 Honor Guards. Due to current restrictions, masks are required.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church.
