Agnes Johnson

A memorial service for Agnes Ruth Johnson of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be on Friday, June 22, 2012, at 2:00 p.m., at First United Methodist Church, with Reverend Rodney Steele officiating. Agnes passed away June 16, 2012, at Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 93. She was born March 6, 1919, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of William H. Roberts and Elsie Sandrock Roberts. She married Paul L. Johnson on March 16, 1940, at Chicago, IL and worked as a secretary for many years. Agnes lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since April 1977 moving from Lombard, IL. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Baxter County Extension Homemakers, and Women's Ministry Group of the Salvation Army Church. She enjoyed puzzles, game shows, knitting, shopping, and played cards with many groups. Agnes is survived by daughter, Judi Hartman of Mountain Home, AR; son, Paul Johnson of Irvine, CA; brother, William H. Roberts of Baltimore, MD; sister, Dorothy (William) Langley of Mountain Home; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one grandchild. Burial will be private in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House. Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
