A private graveside service will be held at a later date for Albert Karpan, formerly of Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Albert passed away July 8, 2014, in Dayton, Ohio at the age of 93. He was born September 22, 1920, in Orient, Illinois, the son of Eli and Albina Malinky Karpan. He married Jeannette Homuth on March 4, 1947, in Gary, Indiana. Albert was retired from the U.S. Army and a veteran of World War II. He enjoyed fishing, listening to the music on Friday and Saturday nights at the Senior Center, and socializing with his friends when he lived in Mountain Home.
Albert is survived by his two daughters, Brenda Wilkinson of Dayton, Ohio and Beverly Karpan of Antioch, Illinois; and his grandson, Lawrence Albert Wilkinson; Lawrence’s wife, Kathleen Wilkinson; and his great grandson, Charles Eliot Wilkinson of Greenwich, Connecticut.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Jeannette Karpan.
Burial will be in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, Saint Louis, Missouri.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
