Bud (Albert Joseph) Schneider passed away Friday, July 1, 2016. He was born on February 10, 1931 in Dayton, Ohio. He is survived by his precious wife, Polly (Haglar) Schneider; sister, Donna (Jim) Tangeman; brother, Jimmy Schneider; along with eight children: Debra (Greg) Mosher, Chris (Jim)Chimo-Lipscomb, Mike (Sue) Schneider, Denis (Sue) Schneider, Katy (Victor) Ratajczak, Amy (Jerry) Swann, Donald (Barbara) Dennis and Steve Dennis; 17 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren with a set a twin boys due this month by his granddaughter, Heidi Boyer Nobilio, Julie’s daughter.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Julie Boyer; parents, Edwin and Veronica (Thobe) Schneider; sister, Sue Gray; and brother, Norbert Schneider.
He moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas, in 1974 and was an avid outdoorsman. He, along with his bass buddies, won numerous local, state and national tournaments along with a few Bass-o-thons. He entered the Air Force in 1951 and by 1955 taught engineering at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio with Top Secret Clearance until the move to Arkansas. He had a passion for guns and was a loyal member of Twin Lakes Gun Club for many years.
Bud was a friend to all; special friends include Don Harvey, Bill Pace, Curt Evans, Kenny Gibson and a grandson by proxy, Cy Claypool.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 5, 2016, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at Kirby and Family Funeral Home Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of the Ozarks.
