Albert L Underwood

Albert L Underwood of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away July 23, 2023, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 92. He was born September 9, 1930, in Ronceverte, West Virginia, the son of Albert R. and Delia Littlepage Underwood. He married Patty Mann on October 27, 1952, in Clifton Forge, Virginia. Albert was a foreman at Sloan Valve Company. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War as a machinist mate. Albert lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas for more than 30 years after moving from Bloomingdale, Illinois. He was a lifetime Mason and served as Chaplain of the Elks for over 10 years. Albert enjoyed working on cars and machinery.

Albert is survived by his children, Cathy Underwood of Mountain Home, AR, Ron Underwood of Mountain Home, AR, and Connie Meyer of Marengo, IL; grandchildren, Michael (Jackie) Underwood, Jamie Underwood, Kristin (Joe) May, Benjamin (Kristin) Underwood, Elizabeth (Douglas) Trader, Tom (Amber) Underwood, Donald Meyer, Alexander Meyer, Stacey (Kevin) Watry, and James Meyer; and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Patty Underwood; parents, Albert R. and Delia Underwood; and sons, Thomas and Ed Underwood.
