Funeral Services for Aletha Eggemeyer, 82, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Friday, December 13, 2013, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Bill Hughes officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, December 12, 2013 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm, at the funeral home.
Aletha passed away December 8, 2013, in Henderson, Arkansas. She was born April 12, 1931, in Chester, Illinois, the daughter of Glen and Dorothy McClure. She married Roger Eggemeyer on February 15, 1958, at Chester, Illinois and was a homemaker. Aletha lived in Mountain Home since moving from Washington, Illinois, in 1983. She was a member of the Mountain Home Baptist Church and loved painting. She painted breathtaking scenes on saw blades, wood, and just about any surface she could paint on. She also enjoyed crocheting and quilting.
Aletha is survived by her three daughters, Rebecca (Scott) Reed of Peoria, IL, Brenda Randall of Washington, IL, and Renee (Scott) Kuykendall of Metamora, IL; five grandchildren, Michael Randall of Washington, IL, Tim (Jennifer) Randall of Washington, IL, Rachel (Zach) Hamilton of Peoria, IL, Zachary Reed of Peoria, IL, and Megan Reed of Peoria, IL, three great-grandchildren, Lily, Tucker, and Cooper Randall, and one brother, Denis (Elaine) McClure.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Richard McClure.
Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
