Alfred Eugene “Gene” Finks of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed on to Heaven November 11, 2024, at the age of 85. He was born in Tower Hill, IL on April 24, 1939, the eldest son of Alfred Finks and Ruth Finks (Randall). He served in the US Navy on the destroyer USS Nicholas and was a maintenance electrician until he retired. He married Bettie Cain on October 27, 2000, in Jacksonville, Florida. They moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas in 2016.
He was known for his kindness and his willingness to help those in need. He was a devoted follower of Christ.
Gene was preceded in death by his loving wife Bettie Finks, his stepsister Peggy Jean Larison, and his parents, Alfred Finks and Ruth & Russel Larison.
Gene is survived by his siblings, Margie & Jesse Starwalt of Greenup, IL, Lonnie Finks of Toledo, IL, Janet & Bill Stephens of Herrick, IL, Joe Larison of Montrose, IL, Anna Leffler of Willow Hill, IL, and Pam & Bill Leffler of Willow Hill, IL.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the Twin Lakes Church of the Nazarene. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks (link below).
