Al Lehman died Friday, October 17, 2008 in Mountain Home at the age of 83. He was born Thursday, June 11, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Henry and Bertha Bocha Lehman. He married JoAnne Zavesky on September 22, 1956 at Chicago, Illinois and worked as a Purchasing Agent. Al was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of WWII and flew 35 missions over Germany. Al lived in Mountain Home since 1987 moving from Deerfield, Illinois and was a member of the B.P.O. Elks, Mountain Home, Ozark VFW Post 3246 and Alley-White American Legion #52. Survivors: Alfred Lehman is survived by his wife, JoAnne Lehman, one son, Paul (Julie) Lehman of Cary, IL, one daughter, Laura (Reverend David) Richards of Whitehall, AR, 4 grandchildren, Todd and Kelly Nodurfth, David and Grant Lehman, 4 sisters, Lillian Muldoon of Lombard, IL, Edith (Len) Raddatz of Elmhurst, IL, Dorothy (Walter) Pavella of Chicago, IL and Donna Doonan of Naperville, IL. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Art. Visitation: Visitation will be from 5-8 P.M. Sunday, October 19, 2008 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. Funeral: Funeral services for Alfred Henry "Al" Lehman of Mountain Home, AR, will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 20, 2008 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, with Reverend Kenneth Taglauer officiating. Burial: Burial will be in the Maynard Bend Cemetery, Gamaliel, Arkansas. Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Redeemer Lutheran Church Building Fund,312 W. North St., Mountain Home, AR 72653, Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House, 701 Burnett Dr., Mountain Home, AR 72653, or Perry Orphans, 1031 CR 144, Oakland, Ar 72661. Active Bearers: Richard Zeiger, Paul Wadley, Mick Muldoon, Todd Nodurfth, Kelly Nodurfth and Ray Hutchison serving as pallbearers.
