Alfred Earl Morris of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away on January 29, 2025, at the age of 87. He was born on October 20, 1937, in Alamogordo, New Mexico, to Earl and Clara Morris. Al proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He earned his Bachelor's degree from Eastern New Mexico University. He built a successful career as an executive for International Harvester. He married the love of his life, Betty Booth, on May 30, 1964, in New Mexico. In 1984, after several moves around the country, they made their home in Mountain Home, Arkansas, following their move from California.
A man of many interests, Al enjoyed woodworking, carpentry, painting, and had a passion for cars and history. He found joy in watching western movies and nurturing his garden, activities that brought him peace and happiness.
Al is survived by his wife, Betty Morris, of Mountain Home, AR. He is welcomed into eternity by his parents, his son Mark Vernon Morris, two brothers, Harold and Richard, and a sister, Eileen.
A Graveside Funeral Service in honor of Alfred will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Oaklawn Cemetery in Jonesboro, Arkansas, with Minister Sharon Madsen officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Community of Christ Church, 340 East 11th Street, Mountain Home, AR 72653, or the Mountain Home Food Basket, 1341 Eastside Centre Court,, Mountain Home, AR 72653. The arrangements are being handled by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
