Alice Buff

Alice Buff died Monday, September 22, 2008 in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the age of 88. She was born Monday, March 29, 1920 in Detroit, Michigan, daughter of Charles Agnew and Adele Krienbaum Sankey. She married Karl E. Buff on February 28, 1953 at Mountain Home, Arkansas and worked as a secretary. Alice lived in Mountain Home since the early 50's moving from Detroit, Michigan. She was an excellent seamstress and avid reader. Survivors: Alice Buff is survived by her son, Robert (Robin) Buff of Fayetteville, AR, daughter, Katherine C. (Bruce) Schaffer of Fayetteville, AR, 2 step-sons, Karl R. (Nancy) Buff and David P. (Chun Mei) Buff both of Mountain Home, AR, brother, William Sankey of Detroit, MI, 2 sisters, Elaine Burns and Juanita Artman both of Detroit, MI, 12 grandchildren, Stacey, Virginia, Adam, Meline, Erin, Carole, Teresa, Karla, Nancy, Bobby, David and Karly, several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her husband, Karl E. Buff, parents and 1 sister. Funeral: Graveside services for Alice M. Buff of Mountain Home, AR, will be 1:00 P.M. Sunday, September 28, 2008 at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery. Burial: Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas. Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Mountain Home, 401 East 9th St. Active Bearers: The family will be pallbearers.
