A Graveside Service for Alice Marie Hyde of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 1:00 pm, Monday, November 21, 2016, at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery.
Alice passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, November 19, 2016, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 84. She was born August 24, 1932, in Sheffield, Alabama to William Franklin Hyde and Eula Estelle Tuten Hyde. She spent her childhood in Sheffield, AL; Rainer, OR; and Lipan, TX. Alice spent most of her senior years in Brewton, AL and moved to Mountain Home, AR in 2013.
Alice loved the Lord and was a member of the Christian Church of Mountain Home. She enjoyed gardening, baking bread, traveling, and was a voracious reader. She spent 15 years traveling the country by RV with her husband, James Holmes. These were her happiest years of discovery and adventure, never knowing where the next winding backroad would take them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Mary Estelle Parson, two brothers Price and Tom Hyde, and her oldest son, Ronnie Alan Fagras.
Alice is survived by her sons Michael (Cindy) Fagras of Missouri, Paul (Donna) Fagras of Arkansas, and Gordon (Cheryl) Fagras of Washington, daughter-in-law Linda Fagras of Indiana, as well as 10 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Additional survivors are nieces, nephews and her special evening front porch friends from her Mountain Home neighborhood.
Alice wished to thank her medical practitioners including the entire staff at Hospice of the Ozarks, and particularly Patty "Nurse Patsy" Roncali, and Paramedic Roger Tilley from the BRMC Community Paramedic Mobile Healthcare team.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
