Alyce Berquist

Alyce H. Berquist was born November 7, 1922 daughter of Louis Kulda and Josephine Pscenik at Taylor, Texas. She married the late Lyle Berquist on February 2, 1944 at Hammond, Indiana. She was a bookkeeper for Blaw Knox for many years. She enjoyed gardening, oil painting, crossword puzzles and her pets. In her earlier years of retirement Alyce was a volunteer for Mountain Home Food Basket and a member of the Pink Ladies volunteer program. She was able to remain in her home and was cared for with much love by her sons Art and Lyle and daughter-in-law Gail and the many wonderful people of hospice. Alyce was surrounded by her family and her much loved cats. Puss & Boots, often referred to as Artie and Lyle. She was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church. Alyce will be missed but never forgotten. She qassed away on October 28,2004 at her residence at the age of 81 years, 11 months and 21 days. Survivors: her twin sons Art Berquist and wife Gail of Mountain Home, Lyle Berquist and wife Sondra of Portage, Indiana, four grandchildren Todd Berquist of Norfork, Arkansas, Lisa Polk and husband Mike of Cumming, Georgia, Julie Stanley and husband George of Chicago, Illinois and Abby Berquist of Portage, Indiana, four great grandchildren Allison and Jacob Dickerson and Charlie Polk of Cumming, Georgia, and Louella Stanley of Chicago, Illinois. Preceded in Death by: by her parents, husband and one sister and one brother Visitation: Sunday, October 31, 2004 at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel from 2:00 Â? 5:00 p.m. with a vigil service at 4:00 p.m. Funeral: Funeral mass for Alyce H. Berquist will be Monday, November 1, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church with Father Wilfred Okorochukwu as celebrant Memorials: Hospice of the Ozarks. Active Bearers: Frank Vlasic, Carl Schefdore, Don Rennolds, Lawrence Noker, George Murphy, and Robert Lammers.
