Amos "Jack" Thomas was born July 28, 1928 in Leachville, Arkansas, to Filo and Alice Copeland Thomas. He married Lovene Boswell on October 21, 1950 in East Prairie, Missouri. He was a carpenter who worked at Raynor's Garage Doors. Jack Thomas lived in Mountain Home, AR since 1978, moving from Amboy, Illinois. He liked woodworking, playing his guitar, fishing on the lakes and rivers, hunting, and he enjoyed spending time with his kids.Mr. Thomas died Monday, June 19, 2006 at Regency Hospital in Springdale, AR. He was 77. Survivors: His wife, Lovene Thomas, of Mountain Home, children, Lacretia Madding, Shirley Lohse, Jerry Thomas, all of Dixon, Illinois, Darrel Thomas, of Rochelle, Illinois, Violet Lachat, of Dixon, Illinois, Darla Rainbolt, of Flippin, AR, and Tommy Thomas, of Mountain Home, two sisters, Mary Ada Ervin Thomas (Doodle), and Sara Martha Magalin Thomas (Bug), Half brothers and sisters, Thelbert (Shot) Hawley, David (Bo) Eugene, Pee Wee, Bill, Jeep, Danny, Linda Kay, Debbie, Joanie, Johnny, Tony, Dean, Harvey, 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and 1 sister. Funeral: A Memorial service for Amos "Jack" Thomas of Mountain Home, AR will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 22, 2006 at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home chapel with Brother Ken Burton officiating.
