A Celebration of Life for Andrew “Andy” Alex Tatar, 74, will be 11AM Monday, November 3, 2014, at the Flippin Christian Church with Minister Bill Joiner officiating. Andy died at home surrounded by his family on October 29, 2014
Andrew was born December 21, 1939 at Chicago, IL to Andrew and Helen Franzos Tatar. He was a Vietnam Veteran of the United States Army. Andy was married to his wife Barb for almost 25 years. He was a retired auto mechanic with the DuPage County Forestry Department. Andy had many friends and was known for his generosity, “he would give you the shirt off of his back”. When he wasn’t outside enjoying nature or fishing his second love was anything old; antiques, cars and trucks. He was an avid woodcarver and a member of the North Arkansas Woodcarvers
Andy is survived by his wife Barbara Tatar of Flippin, AR; children, Dawn Tatar of Floral City, FL, Chantal Mogle of Cary, IL, Lisa Wesley (Eric) of Marshall, WI, Jennifer Shapiro (Scott) of Park Ridge, IL, Elizabeth Callos of Itasca, IL and Jessica McGarry (Scott) of Mountain Home, AR; brothers, Tom Tatar (Pat) and Jerry Tatar (Nicole) of Bull Shoals, AR; grandchildren, Brooke, Troy, Rachel, Chase, Corey, Heather, Amanda, Justin, and Sophie and great-grandchildren, Hayden, Annalease, and Colton. His parents and two sisters preceded him in death.
