Andrew "Andy" Lee Youngblood of Gassville, Arkansas, passed away April 13, 2023, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 81. He was born July 8, 1941, in Memphis, Tennessee, the son of Andrew Jackson Youngblood and Irene Nelson. Andy was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked and retired as the Superintendent for the City of Memphis, then he owned a car lot for 3 years. Andy married the love of his life, Carolyn, 20 years ago on October 18, 2003 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He enjoyed classic country music and taking care of his horses, and was passionate about politics. He was always traveling and riding motorcycles with his wife. Above all, Andy adored Carolyn, and always took care of her.
Andy is survived by his wife, Carolyn Youngblood of Gassville, AR; sister, Laura (Gary) Land of Collierville, TN; grandson, William (Amber) Youngblood; great-grandson, Gunner Youngblood of Atoka, TN; step-children, Tod (Shane) Haak and son of Mountain Home, AR; Lori (Kermit) Roemeling of Sioux Falls, SD; Duane (Josie) Haak and family of Sioux Falls, SD; and Darrin (Barb) Haak and family of Brandon, SD; his closest dear friends, Johnny Ryan, Dan, and Pat Gary.
He was preceded in death by his son, Billy Lee Youngblood; brother, Billy; his parents and several uncles.
A Celebration of Life for Andy will be 3:00 pm, April 29, 2023 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Tom Frase officiating. Burial will be in South Dakota.
