Ann Louise Blunt of Flippin, Arkansas, passed away July 10, 2021, in Flippin, Arkansas at the age of 98. She was born May 9, 1923, in Savannah, Georgia, the daughter of Guy and Nellie Willis. Ann served in the U.S. Navy in Washington DC JAG office until 1945, where she met and married her husband John Blunt, SR. Ann and John were married for 70 years until his passing in April 2015. Ann and John relocated to Jacksonville, Florida where they raised their two children. Ann and John were born again in the late 70s, and it was her faith in Jesus that got her through many of life's challenges. Ann pursued her career in finance while SSGT John served in the Marines. After their children were grown, Ann and John retired to Savannah, Georgia to be with Ann's many siblings. They became members of the Savannah First Baptist Church. Ann loved family gatherings, and enjoyed traveling with her family. Ten years ago, Ann and John relocated to Flippin to be closer to their daughter.
Everybody that met Ann always remembered her smile and graciousness. Even on her last days she never stopped thanking those who came by for a visit with a smile.
Ann is survived by her son, John Blunt, Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida; daughter, Diane Stoinoff of Flippin, Arkansas; granddaughters, Jennifer McGraw, and Laura Blunt; and great-granddaughter, Theia Dawn Taylor of Neptune Beach, Florida.
A Graveside Funeral Service will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at Flippin Cemetery, with Pastor John Smeltzer officiating. Due to current restrictions, masks are required.
