A Memorial Service for Anna (Anne) Elizabeth Darnell of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10AM Monday, October 9, 2017,at Kirby & Family Funeral Home with Reverend Randy Ludwig officiating.
Anna passed away September 25, 2017, in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 96. She was born June 8, 1921, in Normal, Illinois, the daughter of H. Fred and Jane Sutton Kettenring. She married John DeLong on September 12,1943. After his passing, she married Kenneth Darnell on October 28, 1972, in Eureka, Illinois and worked as an Office Manager in Bloomington and Peoria, Illinois. Anna has lived in Mountain Home since 1982, moving from Eureka, Illinois. She was a member of the Elks Ladies, Twin Lakes Welcome Club, Baxter County Hospital Auxiliary and several card groups.
Anna is survived by her four grandchildren, Kevin DeLong of Ozark, MO, Donald DeLong of Papillion, NE, Michelle Starkey of Normal, IL and Brian DeLong of Bloomington, IL; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, John DeLong and Kenneth Darnell; two sons, Darel DeLong and Donald DeLong; one brother and one sister.
Burial will be at a later date in Bloomington, Illinois.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church in Mountain Home, AR.
