Antonio Diaz died Wednesday, June 10, 2009 in Mountain Home at the age of 72. Antonio Diaz was born Sunday, May 23, 1937 in Ticonderoga, New York, the son of Antonio and Isabella McKeown Diaz. He married Bonnie Schild on April 29, 1961 at West Salem, Wisconsin. He worked as an Instrument and Controls Engineer for Nuclear Power Plants. Antonio Diaz was a Navy veteran during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He lived in Mountain Home since 2000 moving from Perry, Ohio. He was a member, secretary and Past Master of Mountain Home Masonic Lodge #225, a Royal Arch Mason, Past Master of the Golden Rule Masonic Lodge #77, Hinsdale, New Hampshire and a member of the VFW Ozark Post #3246. Survivors: Antonio Diaz is survived by his wife, Bonnie Diaz and 3 sons, Thomas (Beth Ann) Diaz of Little Rock, AR, Todd Diaz of Mountain Home, AR and Troy (Christina) Diaz of Hilliard, OH, grandsons, Scott, Duncan and Alexander, 1 brother, Thomas (Linda) Diaz of Summerville, SC, 2 sisters, Antonia (Fred) Fuller of Ticonderoga, NY and Sylvia (Ed) Watson of Saratoga Springs, NY. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister, Mary Jane Diaz. Funeral: Memorial services for Antonio Charles Diaz of Mountain Home, AR, will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, with Reveverend Larry Olson, officiating. Masonic Rites will be by the Mountain Home Masonic Lodge #225. Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Holy Cross Lutheran Church or Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House.
