A Graveside Service for Arlene Bishop of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, September 17, 2013, at the Mountain Home Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends with a light lunch will be held immediately following the graveside service at the College and North Church of Christ.
Arlene passed away September 14, 2013, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 70. She was born July 11, 1943, in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, the daughter of Lem and Joyce Smith Lewis. She married Lyle Bishop on September 22, 1961, at Mammoth Spring, Arkansas and was a homemaker. Arlene was a lifetime resident of the area. She was a member of the College and North Church of Christ and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Arlene is survived by her husband, Lyle Bishop of Mountain Home, AR, daughter, Karen (Scott) Collins of Mountain Home, AR, son, Lewis Bishop of Mountain Home, AR, grandchildren, Robert (Amber) Luther of Mountain Home, AR, Katy Bishop of Nashville, TN, Shane (Laine) Collins of McKinney, TX, and Cody Collins of Mountain Home, AR, great-grandchildren, Cohen and Quinn Collins, sister, Hasseltine (Warren) Coates of Mammoth Spring, AR, brother, Larry Lewis of WI, and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, father-in-law, Val Bishop, and son-in-law, Charlie Luther.
Memorials may be made to American Heart Association or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
