A Memorial Service for Arthur William Baker of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Thursday, March 8, 2012, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel., with the Ozark V.F.W. Post #3246 Honor Guard officiating. Arthur passed away February 22, 2012, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 92. He was born January 12, 1920, in Judsonia, Arkansas, the son of Charlie Lee and Lily Salmon Baker. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He worked as a tool and die machine operator for Whirlpool Corporation 30 plus years. He retired to Mountain Home in 1980 from Coloma, Michigan. He married Hazel O'Dell Watkins on September 20, 1988 at Mountain Home, Arkansas. He enjoyed hunting and was an avid fisherman. He was a member of the Ozark V.F.W. Post #3246. Arthur is survived by his wife, Hazel of Mountain Home, AR; one son Robert William Baker of Bull Shoals, AR; two step-daughters, Donna (Ronnie) Smith of Mountain Home, AR and Shirley Pryor of Gamaliel, AR; step-son, E.T. (Linda) Crawford, Jr. of Pea Ridge, AR; 7 grandchildren and one brother, Harold (Jennie) Baker of Coloma, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Pat; one son, Bruce ?Bush? Baker; 3 brothers, Dean, Al and Clarence and one sister, Ruby. Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks. Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
