Arthur Gill

Arthur Gill died Thursday, February 26, 2009 in Mountain Home at the age of 81. He was born Tuesday, February 7, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of John A. and Barbara Barton Gill. He married Helen Michaud on June 27, 1953 at Riverside, Illinois and was a Cabinet Maker and member of Union Local #1027. Arthur Gill was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of Korea. Arthur lived in Mountain Home since 1992 moving from Coal City, Illinois. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and woodworking. Survivors: Arthur Gill is survived by his wife, Helen Gill, daughter, Linda (Tom) Tillson of Clermont, FL, 2 grandchildren, John (Vickey) Tillson of Oviedo, FL and Christopher (Carrie) Tillson of Pingree Grove, IL and 3 great-grandchildren, Collin, Lillian and Tyler. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister. Funeral: Memorial Services for Arthur J. Gill of Mountain Home, AR, will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 2, 2009 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Larry Olson and Mr. Nick Wyman officiating. Burial: Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas. Memorials: In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
