Arthur Henson

Arthur Junior Henson was born Friday, April 6, 1923 in Memphis, Tennessee, the son of Arthur William and Florence Brown Henson. Arthur Henson was a U.S. Air Force veteran of WWII. He married Frances Brewer on October 15, 1949 at Walsh, Illinois and worked as a pipefitter. He was an honorary fireman for the Cahokia, Illinois Fire Department and former Boy Scout Leader for Troop 34 in Glen Carbon, Illinois. Arthur lived in Gamaliel since 1980 moving from Glen Carbon, Illinois. He enjoyed fishing the area lakes and was a devoted grandfather. Arthur Junior Henson entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 11, 2010 at Baxter Regional Medical Center at the age of 86 years, 9 months and 5 days. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one grandson. Arthur Henson is survived by his wife, Frances Henson, 3 sons, Michael(Crystal) Henson of Powhaton Point, OH, Allan (Tammy) Henson of Glen Carbon, IL and Steven (Pattie) Henson of Mountain Home, AR, 2 daughters, Patricia (David) Byrne of Seguin, TX and Lynn (Don) Gardner of Edwardsville, IL, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
