Visitation for Arthur Martin Jahrling of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday, October 25, 2010 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Jahrling died Saturday, October 23, 2010, at the age of 81.
Arthur was born March 11, 1929 in Union City, New Jersey, the son of Charles A. and Caroline Kikillus Jahrling. He married Margaret Mulligan Jahrling on November 16, 1947 at West New York, New Jersey. He worked for Bendix Corporation. Arthur lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas for 3 years moving from Harriet, Arkansas. He formed the little league baseball in Wurtsboro, New York. He enjoyed reading, loved animals, and watching the Dallas Cowboys.
Arthur is survived by his wife Margaret, 6 sons - Michael (Barbara) Jahrling of Yellville, AR; Arthur (Betty) Jahrling of Youngsville, NY; Richard (Sheila) Jahrling of Mountain Home, AR; Robert (Betsy) Jahrling of Wurtsboro, NY; John (Diane) Jahrling of Mountain View, AR; Edward (Darlene) Jahrling of Middletown, NY; 4 daughters - Eileen (Harry) Nuccio of Mountain Home, AR; Margaret Gallagher of Ellenville, NY; Marian (Ed) Conklin of Wurtsboro, NY; Linda Garnsey of Clayton, NY; 32 grandchildren; 40 Great-Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great-Grandchild; 1sister - Dorothy Burns of NJ, several nieces and nephews. He loved his family very much.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, a son-in-law, a daughter-in-law, and 6 siblings.
