Art John Kemp was born October 3, 1912 in Porter, Indiana. He was the son of William and Lena Michaels Kemp. He was a basketball star in high school at Chesterton, Indiana and a basketball referee throughout Indiana. He married Lorene Wagner, December 9, 1933 in Porter, Indiana. He was General Sales Manager for the western U.S., the Buick Division of General Motors. Art John Kemp lived in Mountain Home since moving from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in 1968. He was a former member of the Elks and a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Arthur John Kemp passed away at Hospice House, December 14, 2005, at the age of 93 years, 2 months and 11 days. Survivors: He is survived by one daughter, Linda Kemp of Mountain Home, Arkansas and one grandson, David (Patti) Holley of Gladstone, Missouri. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter Arlene Holley, and sister Mabel Pope. Visitation: Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m.,. Friday, December 16, 2005 at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral: Funeral service for Arthur John Kemp, 93, of Mountain Home, will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 17, 2005 at Redeemer Lutheran Church with Reverend Kenneth Taglauer officiating.
