Funeral Services for Arthur C. Nutzhorn, Jr., 89, of Downers Grove, Illinois, formerly of Bull Shoals, Arkansas will be 10:30 AM Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Bethel Baptist Church, with Reverend Patrick Norris officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until service time at the church.
Arthur passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Downers Grove, Illinois. He was born April 10, 1921 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Arthur C. Sr. and Mabel Nelson Nutzhorn. He married Ruth Anderson on January 12, 1946 at Chicago, Illinois. He worked for 40 years as a machinist and in various supervisory roles until January, 1981 at Bodine Electric Co. in Chicago, Illinois. Arthur Nutzhorn was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Arthur lived in Bull Shoals from 1981 until 2007 when he moved back to Downers Grove, Illinois. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Arthur is survived by one son, Arthur (Ruth) Nutzhorn of Downers Grove, IL; one daughter, Nancy (John) Frits of Owatonna, MN; 6 grandchildren, Arthur (Jennifer), Robert (Tammy), John (Sarah) and David Nutzhorn, Mike (Ellen) Frits and Tammy (Erik) Angulund and one sister, June Kloth of Bellwood, IL
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one sister.
Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery with military honors by the Hoevel-Barnett V.F.W. Post #1341 Honor Guard.
Memorials may be made to the Bethel Baptist Church.
