Memorial Services for Arvie Harrell Walters of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 2:00 PM Monday, August 9, 2010 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with military honors by the Ozark VFW Post #3246 Honor Guard. Arvie died Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at his residence, at the age of 82. He was born June 23, 1928 in Durham, NC. He married Elsie Kelley in 1976 at Phoenix, Arizona and worked as a brick mason. Arvie was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. He lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 2002 moving from Phoenix, Arizona and loved golf. Arvie is survived by 2 daughters, Toni (John) Raczynski of Mountain Home, AR and Pat (Marvin) Mueske of Gamaliel, AR; 3 grandchildren, Pamela, Jason and Mike; 4 great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Haley, Nathan and Kelly and 1 sister, Marge Verson of MA. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 1 brother, 1 sister and 1 grandson. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of North Central Arkansas or charity of choice. Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral & Cremation Services.
