Arvin Welch

Arvin Welch died Friday, June 13, 2008 in Searcy at the age of 81. Arvin Welch was born Thursday, July 8, 1926 in Freeborn County, Minnesota, son of Carl Welch and Olive Sharpe Welch. He married Gail Jeaninne Bruflodt on October 2, 1951 at Watertown, South Dakota. He worked as a Supervisor in the glass reproduction industry. Arvin lived in Gassville since 1989, moving from Branson, Missouri. He was a member of Methodist Men's Association. He was an avid gardener and a loving father. Survivors: Arvin Welch is survived by his daughter, Cindy (Troy) Rodgers of Gassville, AR, son, Barry Carl (Cindy) Welch of Woonsocket, RI, sisters, Hazel Kolb of Dundas, MN, and Lula Trunnes of Stillwater, MN, granddaughter, Dana Murray of the Kansas City area, 2 grandsons, Gary and James Welch of RI, great-granddaughter, Meleah Bradley Murray of the Kansas City area, daughter-in-law, Sandra (Gene) Littrell of the Kansas City area. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his wife, Gail Jeaninne Welch, parents, 2 brothers, Arthur and Oren, 2 sisters, Ruth and Fern and 1 grandson, Bradley Arvin Welch. Funeral: Services for Arvin Leverne Welch of Gassville, AR, will be Private. Burial: Kirby's Tucker Memorial Scattering Gardens Memorials: Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church.
