Funeral services for Ashley Krista Kanta (Black) of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 11:00AM Monday, September 20, 2010 at First United Methodist Church, with Reverend Randy Ludwig officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 8:00PM, Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. Ashley died Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at her residence, at the age of 26. She was born April 23, 1984 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She worked as an LPN for Dr. Terry Green. Ashley was a lifetime resident of Mountain Home and loved to spend time with her children, family and friends. She enjoyed her nursing career and singing Karaoke. She was the prom queen in her senior year, took pride in her appearance, was an artist and active on facebook. Ashley is survived by her parents, Jim and Shelley Poffinbarger of Mountain Home, AR, 2 children, Taylor Nichole Carrico and Kaden Allen Kanta of Mountain Home, AR, sister, Kayla McCullough of Mountain Home, AR, maternal grandfather, Wilber Carrico of Mountain Home, AR. She is also survived by Jay Black, Amber Goss, Jayson Black, Jasmond Heenan and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Patricia Carrico and Barbara Bramwell, and brother, James Poffinbarger, III. Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Ashley Kanta Memorial Fund at First Security Bank of Mountain Home. Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral & Cremation Services.
