Audrey D. Robson, age 82, of Mountain Home, Arkansas died Friday, July 1, 2016 in Mountain Home. She joins her beloved husband of 62 years, Wilbur Robson, who died in February, 2015.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, Jason and Margaret Sutphin of Newton, Iowa; her brother, Virgil Sutphin of Georgia; and her sister, Shirley Friend of Arizona.
Audrey is survived by her brother, Rick Sutphin (Diane) of Walford, Iowa; her sister, Beverly Coronelli of Huntley, Illinois; her son, David Robson (Debra) of Mountain Home, Arkansas; and her daughter, Teresa Adams (Dan) of Clovis, California. "Grandma Audrey" is also survived by her four grandchildren and one great-grandchild, Samantha Oswald (Chad) and baby, Jasper of Post Falls, Idaho; Mackenzie Knolls (Justin) of Coeurd'alene, Idaho; Joseph Adams (Allison) of Houston, Texas; and Stephen Adams of New York, New York.
Audrey was born on November 16, 1933 in West Des Moines, Iowa. She met Wilbur at Newton High School in Newton, Iowa where they were voted "Couple of the Year" before she graduated in 1951. After the Korean War, Audrey and Wilbur settled in Newton, Iowa, before eventually retiring to Mountain Home in 1987. Audrey worked for Ponder Drug during most of her time in Mountain Home, and spent the last few years measuring blood pressure as a volunteer.
Audrey was a member of East Side Baptist Church, an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Arkansas Razorbacks fan, and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, July 11, 2016 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until the time of service.
Entombment will be at the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum, Mountain Home, Arkansas, with Joseph Adams, Stephen Adams, Dan Adams, Joe Hanson, and Rick Sutphin as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Hospice of the Ozarks, Gideon's International, and East Side Baptist Church.
