Services for August “Augie” William Reckweg of Bull Shoals, AR will be private.
Augie died June 23, 2014, at Mountain Home, AR. Augie was born May 21, 1933, to August and Annabelle Bodzioch Reckweg. He served his country in the United States Navy as a Dental Technician. Augie married the love of his life, Heidi Roesel on April 7, 1962, at Parkridge, IL. He worked for 35 years as a Firefighter for the City of Chicago. After retirement, Augie and Heidi moved to Bull Shoals, AR where he loved to fish and they both volunteered at the Bull Shoals Theater of the Arts and were members of the Bull Shoals Fire Department Auxiliary.
Augie is survived by his wife of 52 years, Heidi Reckweg, of the home and four grandchildren, Samantha and James Reckweg of Illinois, and Nicholas Reckweg of TN.
Augie was preceded in death by his parents, brother, John Reckweg and son Ross Reckweg.
Memorials should be made to Hospice of the Ozarks.
