Aulsie died Sunday, August 26 at the age of 83. She was born August 6, 1924 at Culp, Arkansas to Missouri and Valley Mae Baker Curtis. She married Henry H. Gardner August 27, 1942 at Culp, Arkansas. She was a retired assembly worker at Baxter Lab. Aulsie lived in the Mountain Home area since 1968, moving from West Plains, Missouri. She was active in the Gassville Baptist Church including vacation bible school and in the food room. She was an excellent seamstress, loved quilting and spending time with her grand and great grand children. Survivors: two sons - Rodney Gardner of Calico Rock, Arkansas and Larry Gardner of Kaw City, Oklahoma; daughter - Shirley (Russell) Hensley of Mountain Home; brother - Wes Curtis of Burlington, Kansas; sister - Fannie Williams of Gridley, Kansas and Grandchildren - Jason Gardner, Lori Westphal, Anson Gardner, Gabrielle Mason, Chris Gardner, Leah Puente, Stacy Harrington and Heather Hensley; and 18 Great-Grandchildren. Preceded in Death by: her parents, husband and 8 brothers and sisters. Visitation: 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. Funeral: 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 30, 2007 at the Gassville Baptist Church with Reverend Gary Wise officiating. Burial: Gassville Cemetery, Gassville, Arkansas Honorary Bearers: Lowell and Randy Curtis, Sam Williams, Larry Koder, Ed Broyles, Clint Cook and Matt Harrington. Active Bearers: Jason, Anson, and Chris Gardner, Tom Mincher, Mark Puente and Justin Parks
