Auston R. Dollar

A Memorial Service for Auston R. Dollar of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 11:00 am, Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr.Tad Rogers officiating. A Gathering of Friends will be from 10:00 am until the time of service. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Taylor, Bob Standridge, Tom Sykes, Carl Weaver, Eldon Hellums, Don Resa and Wade Armes.

Auston passed away April 15, 2015, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 84. He was born November 27, 1930, in Newburg, Arkansas, the son of Newton and Lulu Roddy Dollar. He married Audrey Beebe Huskey on January 13, 1973, at Loveland, Colorado and worked in the Maintenance Department for Hewlett Packard. Auston lived in Mountain Home since 1996, moving from Colorado. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and enjoyed camping, motorcycling, spending time with family and serving in the church. He was a long-time member of the Christian Motorcyclists Association and ministered through that organization three years during bike week in Sturgis, S.D.
Auston is survived by his wife, Audrey Dollar of Mountain Home, AR; son, Darrell (Elaine) Dollar of Gainesville, GA; daughter, Lori Lentendre of Taylor, SC; step-daughter, Doris (Keith) Crowley of Big Water, UT; daughter-in-law, Betty Dollar of Sandusky, MI; 8 grandchildren,10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Daniel Dollar; brother, Alvie Dollar, sister, Joy Noland. and infant sister, Josie Dollar.
