Graveside service for Barbara J. Curtis will be 1:00 pm, Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at the Greenwood Cemetery in Virginia, Minnesota.
Barbara passed away January 25, 2016, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 85. She was born July 8, 1930, in Virginia, Minnesota, the daughter of Sverre and Helene Montgomery Osen. She was the Administrative Assistant for the Confidential Library at Abbot Laboratories. Barbara lived in Mountain Home since May of 1995, moving from Kenosha, Wisconsin. She was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church and loved music and books. She was kindhearted, sweet, loving and always had a smile on her face. She was very generous and her family was the most important thing to her. Her favorite saying was "Only you can make your own happiness".
Barbara is survived by her two daughters, Jami "Doll" Pierson of Mountain Home, AR and Steffi "Mia" (Kevin) Pierson Ott of Gamaliel, AR; step-son, Mitchell Curtis of Andover, MN; grandchildren; Garrett Cobertt, Jaime Arnole and Forrest Montgomery Ott and Maxwell Wallace, Georgia Rae and Sophia Mae Curtis and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James Arnold Pierson, three brothers and three sisters.
Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Virginia, Minnesota.
