Barbara Jean Miles, age 55, of Bull Shoals, Arkansas, departed this life on June 7th, 2020, at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, AR, after a lengthy illness. She was born and spent most of her life in Granite City, Illinois. She loved animals. She was a Patriots fan. She liked motorcycles and 80s music. She loved her family, especially her daughter, and supported full equality and human rights for everyone, especially the LGBTQIA+ community. She was a member of Trans Hope United, where she was kind, loving, encouraging, and supportive to many. She is dearly missed.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Dewey Miles, and brothers Charles, William “Billy”, Gregory, and Paul Miles.
She is survived by her daughter, AlyZaiah “Alyssa” Felles (partner Ayael Amaré) of Waynesboro, VA; her life partner, David Rensing of Bull Shoals, AR; her beloved furbaby, Gizmo; her brothers Jerry Miles (wife Christine) of Granite City, IL, and Bruce Miles of Fenton, MO; her sisters Linda Miles Rensing (husband Tom) of Bull Shoals, AR, Martha Bezan of Maryville, IL, and Deborah “Debbie” Sumner (husband Dave) of Winter Springs, FL; and many other relatives, and friends.
Per her wishes, Barbara was cremated. A celebration of life memorial for Barbara may take place at a future date.
