A Memorial Service For Barbara Jean Reading of Bull Shoals, AR will be 11AM, January 16th 2015, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home in Bull Shoals, AR with Reverend Donnie Hudson officiating.

She passed away on January 8, 2015, in Mountain Home at the age of 67. Barbara was born March 18, 1947, in Chicago, Il. to Charles W. and Vera May Smith Lucas. She married Joseph S. Reading on January 27, 1968, in Palos Heights, Il. Barbara worked as an executive secretary at Continental Bank in Chicago, Il. She was a lifetime member of the Bull Shoals VFW Post #1341 Ladies Auxiliary. Barbara raised, trained and showed quarter horses. She loved to travel, especially cruises.

Barbara is survived by son, Michael Reading (Tammy) of Fontana, Ca.; daughter, Kimberly Reading of Bull Shoals, AR; three grandsons, Joshua and Andrew Reading of Fontana, CA and Lucas Galik of Wilmington, Il; great -grandson, Johnathan Reading of Fontana, CA and close friend, Phillip Debock of Bull Shoals, AR.

Her husband and parents preceded her in death.

In lieu of flowers donations should be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
