Barbara Jean Starzyk

A Funeral Mass for Barbara Jean Starzyk of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Thursday, August 2, 2018, at St. Peter The Fisherman Catholic Church, with Father Norbert Rappold as Celebrant. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 1, 2018, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, with a Vigil Service at 7:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home.

Barbara Jean passed away July 25, 2018, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 70, after a brief illness. She was born February 17, 1948, in Harvey, Illinois, the daughter of Joseph W. & Jean V. Pasek Starzyk. Barbara Jean was a homemaker as well as a professional custom tailor. She was also computer tech-savvy and enjoyed working with friends and neighbors to solve their computer problems. Throughout her life, Barbara Jean was a devout Catholic. When her parents moved to Arkansas to retire, Barbara Jean followed, to help take care of them. She was a member of the St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church. Barbara Jean was one of the kindest people you could ever meet, she always wanted to help other people and she will be sorely missed.

Barbara Jean is survived by her sister, Carol Ann (Dave) Claycomb of Superior, CO, nieces, Nicole Riehl of Castle Pines, CO, and Danielle DesBiens of Lakewood, CO; and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
