Basil Baker

Memorial Services for Basil "Butch" Baker of Jordan, Arkansas, will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Mr. Jamie Cowgill officiating. Butch passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at his residence, at the age of 68. He was born December 22, 1942 in Clarendon, AR, the son of Bo and Leona Mathes Baker. He married Margit Triggs on June 7, 2000 at Mountain Home. He was a retired Nuclear Operations Manager at Entergy Russellville ANO. He was a lifelong resident of Arkansas. Butch is survived by his wife, Margit of the home, daughters, Phyllis (Chuck) Campbell of Russellville, AR, Barbara (Eric) Anderson of Greenville, NC and Cathy Hodgson of Russellville, AR, 4 step-daughters, Lori, Lisa, Penny and Patty, brother, Wayne (Pat) Baker of Forrest City, AR, sisters, Lois (Vernon) Geurian of Clarendon, AR, Linda Waite of Crossville, TN, Shirley Rock of Little Rock, AR and Sue French of Clarendon, AR, grandchildren, Rebekah, Josh, Lauren, Jessica, Claire, Madeline, John and Jude He also leaves behind his dog Trey, and our friends in the neighborhood. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Sonny Baker. Memorials may be made to the Jordan-Rodney Volunteer Fire Department Building Fund, P.O. Box 129, Pineville, AR 72566.
