Bennie Earl Wilks was born Saturday, May 23, 1942 in Boston, Texas, son of Thurmon and Pauline Wilks. He married Bonnie Brunson on October 1, 1966 at Vancouver, Washington. He worked for more than 20 years as a Head Operator for Chevron Oil Company. Bennie was a veteran of U.S. Army Military Police, having served in France. Bennie lived in Mountain Home for 14 years moving from Sandy, Utah. He enjoyed fishing on the lakes, working on cars, and was a general handyman - there was nothing he couldn't fix. Survivors: Bennie is survived by: his wife, Bonnie, three daughters, Gina (Tony) White of Phoenix, AZ, Kayla and Kim Wilks of Mountain Home, two sons, Wally (Melissa) Wilks of Rosemond, California, and Eric Wilks of Mountain Home. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by parents, Thurmon and Pauline Wilks, brother, Wayne Wilks, and sister, Latresa Morgan Wilks. Funeral: Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Monday, August 18, 2008 at the Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Mike Shy officiating.
