Bernard "Bud" Jenkins

Memorial services for Bernard Edward "Bud" Jenkins, Sr., 58, of Mountain Home, will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, with Brother Vince Daniels officiating.

Mr. Jenkins died Friday, October 16, 2009 at Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House at the age of 58. He was born April 09, 1951 at Syracuse, New York and worked as a Corrections Officer for the Arkansas Department of Corrections in Calico Rock, Arkansas. Bud was a U.S. Army Veteran. He lived in Mountain Home since 1988, moving from Flagstaff, Arizona. He retired from the Calico Rock Prison and for Bud, family always came first. He loved his grandchildren and was a huge Nascar fan. Bud also loved to hunt, fish and cook and could almost always be found with his camera taking pictures of the family.

Bud is survived by his wife Eleanor "Elly" Jenkins, 5 sons, Bernard Edward Jenkins, Jr., Chris John (Cassie) Jenkins, Jeremy Allen (Holly) Jenkins, Patrick Kelly (Brie) Jenkins, and Scott Joseph (Cindy) Jenkins, two sisters, Crystal "Susie"(Ivan) Simpson and Cindy (Bob) Biggs, and 12 grandchildren, 9 boys and 3 girls and one uncle, James (Ruth) Jenkins of Florida.

He was preceded in death by both parents.

Burial will be in Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks.
