Bernice Flak was born October 27, 1912 at St. Louis, Missouri to Walter and Antoinette Plodezien Gocaln. She married Stanley Flak on November 27, 1931 at St. Louis and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Henry's Catholic Church in Belleville and attended St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She moved to Bull Shoals in 1997 from Belleville. She was a devout Catholic, homemaker and loved to cook for her family. She was proud of her Polish Heritage and loved to dance the Polka and care for her great grandchildren. Survivors: She is survived by Two daughters; Rose Marie (Bob) Sims of Bull Head City, Arizona formerly of Bull Shoals, Arkansas, Sharon (Bill) Silzell of Bull Shoals, Arkansas and, four grandchildren; Pam Shadwick, Bob (Donna) Sims, Rick (Laura) Sims and Patty (Dennis) Gallagher and eleven great grandchildren. Preceded in Death by: Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Stanley Flak, Jr. an one brother. Visitation: Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Renner Funeral Home in Belleville. Bernice Flak died Saturday, February 24 in Flippin, Arkansas. She was 94. Funeral: A Funeral Mass for Bernice Flak of Bull Shoals, Arkansas, formerly of Bellville, will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Henry's Catholic Church with Father Jack McEvilly the Celebrant. Memorials: Memorials may be made to St. Henry's Church for masses.
