Bernice Heddleston

Bernice L. Heddleston was born December 7, 1919, in Caruthers, California. She was the daughter of Harry and Elsie Bunn Stark. She married Kenneth Heddleston and was a secretary. Mrs. Heddleston lived in Lakeview, Arkansas since moving from Ames, Iowa, in 1976. She was an active member of Midway Baptist Church as a Sunday School teacher and choir member. She enjoyed square dancing, cooking, traveling, homemaking and gardening. Bernice L. Heddleston passed away March 27, 2006, at the age of 86 years, 3 months and 20 days. Survivors: Two daughters, Carol L. (Michael) Hildebrand of Lakeview, Arkansas, and Loraine Marie (Leon) Young of Nacogdoches, Texas; one sister, Marie Wilkins of Fresno, California; and five grandchildren, Christy Rutledge and her children Caitlyn, Chandler, and Carley of Corpus Christi, Texas; April Young, of Dallas, Texas; Matthew Young and his son Samuel of Portland, Oregon; and Drew and Molly Young of Nacogdoches, Texas Preceded in Death by: Her parents; husband; brother Leroy Stark; and grandson, Wesley Hildebrand Visitation: Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 29 at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home. Funeral: Funeral Services for Bernice L. Heddleston, 86, of Lakeview will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 30, 2006, at Midway Baptist Church with Pastor Bob Moon officiating. Bernice L. Heddleston died Monday, March 27 at Hiram Shaddox.
